Personal Bests for Coombe's A Level Students!
Coombe students mark another record breaking year of results at the nationally acclaimed Coombe Sixth Form. A Level and AS results were smashed in all subjects confirming Coombe Sixth Form’s best ever year. This reflects the continued upward trajectory over the past 6 years with results continuing to exceed the National Average. Throughout this academic year students have set their sights high, reaching for those golden University placements, by hard work, dedication and sheer endurance through the rigorous demands of their A level courses. Personal bests were celebrated, led by top performing students Isobel Wilson and Caroline Ball who will take their place at Oxbridge Universities in September. Other notable Coombe Graduates celebrating impressive performances were Nadia Barakat, Evie Grippaudo, Yujin Lee and Tom Peart all looking forward to continuing their successes at top universities.
Headteacher, Deborah Walls, commented, “I am absolutely thrilled with the best ever results of our Coombe Sixth Formers again this year. Against a backdrop of anticipated grade turbulence nationally, it is incredible to see almost a third of all entries graded A*/A and over 75% of all entries A*-C. Coombe Sixth Formers have truly met the challenge of the new ever more demanding qualifications and excelled at every level – I’m incredibly proud of their achievements. We wish them all the very best of luck with their future ventures. .”
