Drama and Theatre
During the course, you will work as an actor, director, designer, critic and creator of theatre and learn to analyse your practical work in writing. You will be able to make evaluative judgements about live theatre, exploring design and production elements, using specialist vocabulary. As a member of an ensemble, you will devise your own piece of theatre, using a range of forms and styles influences by key theatre practitioners.
Drama and Theatre Studies at CGS Sixth Form is exciting, challenging and dynamic! We have superb facilities and London theatre on our doorstep; KS5 students are able to take part in at least 3 theatre visits each year, as well as workshops with visiting practitioners. There are many extra-curricular Drama opportunities open to all KS5 students, including the annual school production and the sixth form pantomime. KS5 Drama Captains are very influential, leading Drama Club and directing performance work at the Rose Theatre.
