Year 13 student

"I'm currently studying Art, Psychology and English Literature and hope to progress onto an Art Foundation course at the University of Creative Arts in Epsom. As well as giving me the support I needed in my subjects, Coombe has really helped me choose my next step and decide what to study at University."

Head of Department; Mrs A McGregor

As a department our ethos is creativity for all, we believe that all students should experience creativity and the benefits of creative thinking.

We aim to inspire and challenge students, equipping them with the skills to experiment confidently with materials, developing independence and their own opinions. Students use a wide variety of media and skills including: drawing, painting, printmaking, textile art, photography, digital technology and 3D sculpture. The art department runs a wide variety of visits; these include trips to The British Museum, Saatchi Gallery and Tate as well as hosting activities such as life drawing in school.
