Coombe Sixth Form Opportunities Evening for 2027 Entry
Wednesday 24th June, 6-8pm
Join us at our Sixth Form Opportunities Evening and discover what life at Coombe Sixth Form could look like for you.
This is your chance to explore the wide range of courses available, meet subject teachers, and find out more about the exciting opportunities that can help you achieve your ambitions beyond school. Whether you're considering A Levels, vocational qualifications, or want to learn more about enrichment, leadership opportunities, university pathways and careers support, this event will help you make informed choices about your future.
During the evening, you can:
- Explore our extensive range of Sixth Form subjects
- Meet teachers and current Sixth Form students
- Learn about enrichment, leadership and extracurricular opportunities
- Discover how we support students with university, apprenticeships and career pathways
- Find out what makes Coombe Sixth Form such a vibrant and successful community
There will be a short presentation from the Heads of Sixth Form from both campuses in the Sixth Form Common Room at 6.15pm and 7.15pm.
There is no need to book, just turn up to Clarance Avenue Campus (KT3 3TU) on the evening. We look forward to welcoming students and parents/carers and helping you take the first step towards an exciting and successful future.
How to apply (September 2027 Entry)
To apply for Coombe Sixth Form for entry in 2027, please complete the relevant application form below.
For INTERNAL candidates who are currently studying at Coombe Boys' School or Coombe Girls School:
Coombe Sixth Form INTERNAL Application Form (2027 Entry)
For students currently at Coombe Girls' School or Coombe Boys' School, the application deadline is Friday 17th July 2026.
For EXTERNAL candidates not currently studying at a Coombe Academy Trust school:
Coombe Sixth Form EXTERNAL Application Form (2027 Entry)
For external candidates, the deadline for applications is Friday 15th January 2027.

Sixth formers at Coombe are role models for all of the other students within the Coombe Schools.
16-19 Bursary Fund
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is a scheme set up by the government to help the most vulnerable young people aged 16-19 continue in full time education. Its purpose is to provide financial support to help students overcome specific financial barriers to participation, so that they can remain in education.
Bursary awards are based on individual financial needs and cover the following types of essential costs:
• Course books and equipment
• Costs of travel to School
• Educational visits and field trips which are a necessary part of the study course
In addition to the essential costs, university interviews, applications and open day costs may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
You must read the policy below carefully to ensure that you fully understand the requirements of the Bursary Fund and that you do not miss important application deadlines which are non-negotiable.
