Just like life, Coombe is what you make of it. It is an exciting, vibrant place, full of clubs, events and opportunities to try new things, develop new skills and make new friends. Whatever you're passionate about, you'll find something going on at Coombe.

Each week there is some event or activity for our Sixth Formers to take part in.
Our Enrichment Programme allows students to sign up to term-long activities they are excited to discover or develop. From a wealth of sporting activities and teams to running a club, being part of the Leadership Programme, the opportunities are there to make you feel part of our school community and feed all aspects of your personality.

We are fascinated by the world, exploring ideas and issues from the Sixth Form gates to the furthest ends of the earth.
You'll get plenty of chances to explore the world, with a range of residential trips organised around different subject areas, for example, Classical Civilisation students recently explored the ancient sites of Athens, Performing Arts students visited the Edinburgh Festival, Spanish students honed their language skills in Seville, Health & Social Care students visited Amsterdam and the list goes on!.

Our annual Rag Week is a festival of fun and chaos that raises lots of money and awareness for a special charity.
Organised by students, for students, it's one of the highlights of the year with events including everything from dodgeball, lip sync battles, fashion shows, dressing up days and 'staff vs pupils' football matches - definitely not to be missed!

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is an option offered to all students. It is equivalent to half and A Level.
Chose a topic that interests you. It must be academically useful, either related to your current course of study or future career. It usually takes the form of a dissertation but depending on subject chosen, could be a musical composition or an artefact backed up with a report for example.

We believe in bringing culture to life, and giving you a deeper understanding of the world through participation in a wide range of clubs and societies, open to all students regardless of subject choices. Take instrument or vocal lessons through the Music Department and join the orchestra or chamber choir. Develop your art skills and display your work around the school. Take your acting skills to the stage with our thriving Drama Department's regular productions. And explore many opportunities to get out into the world and see the best it has to offer, including trips to West End theatre productions, design museums, galleries, recitals, exhibitions and much more.

At Coombe you'll encounter many opportunities to develop your leadership skills. Head Student positions are highly prized roles and their election follow a vigorous and exciting campaign. Other roles such as House Captains and Subject Captains offer greater responsibility, as does our mentoring programme through which you guide and tutor younger pupils.
